it is true,gamescore serves the purpose to make douchebags feel that they are "leet",just because of higher number(truly ridiculus)

dude you are so right, and in most unreasonable games the achievements are all campaign and it means nothing, but that you have done the campaign. If you play a game for achievments, you are playing it for the wrong reasons.

...coming back to this one as I was recently thinking further (& writing more) about Achievements; I'd nitpick one small point with this post. And that's with regards to the "win 100 ranked matches online" kind of achievements. Whilst the point you make about "3 matches" being a reasonable number for GoW2 and any higher would simply reward grinding, it's not always so clearcut.
With some games, especially online vs fighting games, a much higher target number is actually a better idea, because whilst they still don't reflect real skill, they actually become increasingly likely to do so - because while someone can get them by grinding and/or boosting methods, the high total number means they are actually less likely to bother to do so. Also, the high total numbers can keep an online community for a game alive longer that it might otherwise would for a niche game.

Otherwise.. I still agree with everything here

this post is ok, tho i think that getting certain achievements in games means your good at it, because wen you want to get say.. beating TTFATF in GH3 takes alot of skill, really most achievements mean skill, at least the ones that can be boosted.

Normally yes, but I also like to pick up some arcade games, and I was just really interested in HD Remix when I saw that they were actually trying to not port it, but to really improve it. I like companies that take old games and remake them, but not just shoddy Quick-Cash remakes, but some really well-thought ones that really show that they want to improve the game.

I completely agree with you regarding Gears 2's Achievements.

I'm surprised you are playing SF2 HD Remix though, I gathered you were mainly an rpg player, or at least more single-player games.
